ACT Genomics
Transforming Cancer Care through Personalized Genetic Medicine

ACT Genomics

‘Turn genomics into action’—the very meaning behind the name ACT Genomics—drives its mission to make personalized medicine accessible to everyone. Through advanced genomic profiling using next generation sequencing (NGS), ACT Genomics dives deep into the DNA, RNA and other molecular changes in cancer patients’ tumors, providing high-resolution insights into complex mutations. These insights enable healthcare professionals, patients and biopharma companies to make informed treatment decisions and discover new biomarkers for cancer, resulting in precise, fast and reliable personalized treatment plans. ACT Genomics offers a comprehensive approach to cancer care that spans treatment, monitoring, and prediction—bridging the gap between academic research and practical clinical application.

With a precise, treatment-focused suite of genomic tests—such as ACTOnco+, ACTLung, ACTLiquidPro, ACTDrug+, ACTCerebra, ACTHRD, ACTBRCA and ACTFusion—oncologists gain detailed insights into each patient’s tumor profile, enabling precise therapy selection and real-time monitoring of cancer progression.

These specialized tests analyze over 400 cancer related genes, including 13 fusion genes and key genetic alterations, directly informing treatment choices and guiding intervention strategies. By pinpointing specific mutations and evaluating hereditary risk factors like BRCA1/2 mutations and HRD status, ACT Genomics aids in developing targeted treatment plans and identifying candidates for PARP inhibitor therapies.

For instance, ACTOnco+ examines over 440 genes, assessing genetic mutations, predicting immunotherapy response and evaluating genetic variations for solid tumors, including advanced and recurrent cancers, to support timely and informed treatment decisions. Building on the foundation of these insights, ACT Genomics expands the reach of personalized medicine beyond immediate treatment responses. Integrating genomic data across various platforms enhances predictive models for patient outcomes and therapy resistance.

This broader application aids oncologists and researchers in developing more effective, future-focused cancer therapies that anticipate changes and adapt to them proactively.

To keep therapies effective as tumors evolve, monitoring becomes crucial to maintaining treatment efficacy. ACT Genomics’ monitoring tests, such as ACTMonitor Lung, ACTMonitor Colon, ACTMonitor Breast and ACTMonitor+, tracking circulating tumor DNA to capture subtle changes in a tumor’s genetic profile, empowering clinicians with actionable insights to adjust therapies as needed. These targeted tests focus on key genes associated with drug resistance and recurrence, keeping therapies effective against genetic changes. For instance, ACTMonitor Lung assesses 11 key genes linked to drug resistance in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), providing essential surveillance and enabling timely adjustments in treatment strategies.

Further supporting treatment planning, ACTRisk offers a comprehensive hereditary risk assessment across all major solid tumors and certain blood cancers. With just a single blood sample, ACTRisk decodes 67 specially curated genes associated with nine common hereditary cancers and 11 cancer syndromes, providing a genetic profile for early detection and personalized prevention strategies. Leveraging high-accuracy bioinformatics analysis from international databases and ACT Genomics’ in-house ethnographic database, ACTRisk enables healthcare providers to develop robust health management strategies based on detailed cancer risk, ultimately improving long-term outcomes through proactive care.

With its origins in Taiwan and a robust presence across Asia, ACT Genomics demonstrates the transformative potential of precision medicine. When Ms Chen, a neuroendocrine tumor patient, sought answers, ACT Genomics provided an in-depth genetic analysis, revealing critical mutations that shaped a targeted treatment plan. This individualized approach renewed her hope, illustrating how genomics-driven cancer care can redefine patient outcomes.

ACT Genomics doesn’t just analyze data—it turns genetic insights into meaningful, life-changing decisions. As a trusted partner to healthcare providers and patients, ACT Genomics is paving the way for a future where cancer care is as unique as each patient, embodying a vision of hope, precision and progress.
